Helen is a Sydney based Naturopath who is also a registered nurse. She has a passion for educating people on the health benefits of complementary medicine. Helen believes it is important to empower and give you the skills to improve your health.

The initial consult is up to an hour and a half appointment involving a thorough medical history, reviewing your physical health, genetic background, current diet and emotional wellbeing.  From this information you will be given an individual treatment program.

Helen’s clinical approach is patient centred and will review your health and lifestyle. Her treatments are drawn from naturopathy, herbal and nutritional medicine and may involve massage.

Naturopathic Medicine or naturopathy is the foundation of complimentary or alternative medicine, it is based on the principle that the body has the ability to heal itself. It aims to treat the underlying causes of disease by assessing and treating holistically.  The treatment approach is a combination of eastern and western philosophy using herbal combinations, nutritional and dietary strategies, body work (massage), homoeopathy and lifestyle advice. The focus is to return the body to optimal health by managing the bodily systems through herbal medicine, nutrition, vitamins and mineral supplementation and lifestyle changes. All naturopathic scripts are individually structured and can be tailored to specific individual histories.

Naturopathic medicine is safe and can be used by children and the elderly.

Herbal Medicine
Herbs have a rich history of traditional use, they are a safe and effective treatment of acute and chronic health conditions. With the increase of research into complementary medicine, evidence based practice has shown that herbal treatments can be be very effective at achieving and maintaining good health.

Nutritional Medicine
Nutritional medicine combines the traditions of food as medicine and dietary planning with scientific advances in the use of nutrients at therapeutic doses in the treatment, management and prevention of disease. With the recent human genome project there has been a change in the understanding of the importance in genetics and its implication in nutritional study. This change has given nutritional medicine more scope to make impacts on an individuals health.

Swedish & Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage and pressure point therapy can be used to relieve tension and pain from musculoskeletal injuries and treat chronic back issues. Swedish and remedial massage can assist in mental health and has been shown to reduce blood pressure and heart rate which can improve anxiety. Stress management, depression and mood disorders have been shown to improve with regular massage therapy.  Lymphatic drainage assists with areas of congestion and improves sinusitis and allergy symptoms.
